The surgeon general has confirmed that collecting antique lamps is an addiction.


The following is a shortlist of symptoms:


  • Looking forward to the sun going down.
  • Behaving like a six-year-old on Christmas eve when you see the UPS man carrying a large box to your door.
  • Seeing the blank look from your friends when you show them a lamp that you just bought for thousands of dollars.
  • Feeling the kinship when you meet or talk to someone that "understands"!!!.

I Get It!!

My name is Paul Aimis, and I have been involved in collecting, buying, and selling lamps since the early '80s.


My background is in real estate. One of my major tenants, a furniture manufacturer, went out of business in 1982. I could not rent the space. A friend of mine suggested opening up an antique flea market. I did, and that's where my addiction to antique lamps began.


I am now semi-retired, living in Florida. My lamp business fetish allows me to own, enjoy for a while, sell (maybe make a profit) and upgrade my collection.

My Policies

  1. Returns: I do not sell on approval. If the lamp is not as described, I will take it back and refund your full purchase price (providing the lamp is returned in the exact condition that it was sent) with the exception of all shipping charges. I will take all the pictures that you request and list any and all issues, answer any questions prior to you purchasing the lamp.
  2. Please keep in mind that you are buying 100-year-old antique lamps that have, in most cases, aged very gracefully; however, they are not new.
  3. Due to the fact that I am dealing in high ticket items, I will provide for your comfort level banking references upon request.
  4. Payment Methods: Wire transfer for expedited shipping, personal check (allow 12 days), cashier's check (allow 3 business days), or PayPal.
